The Senior Architect - Platform & Performance Management is responsible for defining and advancing the conceptual and technical architecture models that enable scalable, reliable, and insight-driven data and platform capabilities across MetLife's Global Technology and Data & Intelligence ecosystem. Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead conceptual and logical architecture models that enable Performance & Platform Management capabilities, including measurement foundations, platform utilization insights, and enterprise visibility (e.g., Visibility Data Warehouse), ensuring alignment to business outcomes and global data strategy.
- Establish and govern scalable architecture patterns for data, AI, and API-driven integrations, enabling seamless connectivity across operational platforms, analytics environments, and enterprise systems while ensuring performance, reliability, and reusability.
- Drive integration of AI/ML-enabled insights and advanced analytics into platform performance and operational workflows, enabling predictive, real-time decision-making and enhancing enterprise-wide transparency and efficiency.
- Partner cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into architecture solutions, aligning platform capabilities to KPIs, executive reporting needs, and continuous improvement initiatives across Global Technology.
- Support the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)-from architecture and design through implementation, testing, deployment, and optimization-ensuring architectural integrity, adherence to standards, and continuous performance improvement across platform and data solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field experience; advanced degree preferred
- 4+ years of experience in architecture, data platforms, or performance/operational analytics environments
- Demonstrated expertise in data architecture, API integrations, and/or modern platform technologies, including cloud-native and AI/ML capabilities
- Strong ability to translate business strategy into scalable technical solutions, with experience partnering across product, engineering, and executive stakeholders
- Proven experience supporting end-to-end solution delivery within Agile/SDLC frameworks, with a focus on performance optimization, governance, and continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with enterprise data and integration tools such as Informatica, Maestro, and ERwin, including data modeling, lineage, governance, and metadata management practices
- Hands-on experience with Azure cloud architecture and/or development, including data services, integration patterns, and scalable, cloud-native platform design
- Experience implementing advanced AI integration and insight frameworks, enabling predictive analytics, intelligent automation, and real-time business insights across platform and performance management use cases
