In this role, you will serve as a senior technical contributor responsible for translating business needs into production‑ready solutions across data, analytics, and application platforms. You will partner closely with business stakeholders, delivery leads, and cross‑functional teams to design, build, and operationalize data pipelines, analytics dashboards, and workflow automation. The role blends hands‑on development with solution architecture, technical leadership, and delivery discipline in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
Responsibilities- Partner with business owners, analysts, and testing teams to understand requirements and desired system functionality
- Act as the primary developer for complex, high‑impact components and solutions
- Drive technical architecture and design decisions, ensuring scalability, governance, and maintainability
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines, semantic models, and analytics solutions supporting production reporting and advanced analytics
- Develop executive‑ready dashboards and reports, ensuring performance optimization and data accuracy
- Create and maintain applications, workflows, and data structures to operationalize business processes and governance
- Translate business requirements into clear technical designs, documentation, and implementation plans
- Create technical architecture documents, technical design specifications, and user guides
- Provide accurate work estimates and delivery input to technical leads
- Establish and maintain development environments aligned to best practices
- Write well‑structured, thoroughly commented, maintainable code with supporting documentation
- Create and execute unit tests to validate functionality and integration prior to broader testing
- Support testing and analysis teams by resolving defects and addressing design questions
- Participate in and contribute to peer code reviews
- Develop tools or automation to improve development quality and consistency (e.g., local test automation)
- Proactively identify technical risks and drive resolution across teams
- Clearly communicate and defend design decisions, system limitations, and trade‑offs to both technical and non‑technical audiences
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
- 8–10 years of relevant professional experience in software development, data engineering, or solution architecture
- Deep expertise in at least one technical domain with working knowledge across multiple areas
- Strong experience designing and delivering internal business systems under deadline pressure
- Solid software engineering fundamentals, including maintainability, testing, and documentation
- Proven ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to diverse stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, identify issues proactively, and coordinate resolutions
- Experience serving as a technical lead or senior contributor on low‑ to medium‑risk initiatives
- 3–5 years of hands‑on experience building and maintaining modern data pipelines, semantic models, and integrated analytics solutions
- 3–5 years of experience delivering production‑grade dashboards and reporting, including data modeling, performance optimization, and complex calculations
- 3–5 years of experience building applications and automated workflows to support process automation, data intake, and governance
- Experience working in innovation‑focused or customer‑facing environments where delivery rigor and documentation are critical
- Prior involvement in cross‑functional delivery efforts spanning business, analytics, engineering, and operations
- Experience mentoring or supporting other developers through reviews and shared best practices
Salary Range
At Blueprint, we strive to offer competitive pay that reflects the value of our team members. Compensation for this role is influenced by a variety of factors, including skills, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographic market.
For candidates based in Washington State, the anticipated salary range is $115,000- $122,500 USD/hourly. Please note that we typically do not hire new employees at the top of the posted range. Actual starting pay will be determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity. The final salary and job title may vary depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications and could fall outside the stated range.
