About the Role
Abnormal Security is looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to join the Financial Planning & Analytics (FP&A) team to define, develop, and deploy the foundations of our analytics stack. Day to day, you’ll help manage our end to end stack – data pipelines, data warehouse, data modeling layer, and business intelligence. You’ll be a highly collaborative partner to enable analytics at scale and set this hyper growth company up for success.
What you will do
- Partner with clients of Data Engineering to design and maintain reliable data models and visualizations that allow for seamless reporting and analysis.
- Optimize data warehousing processes by enhancing existing data models, building net new models and implementing best practices for data quality testing.
- Empower end users throughout the company to independently explore and answer data-related questions using well-organized and intuitive datasets.
- Implement cataloging and documentation best practices in order to raise data literacy and adoption of our data products across the company.
Must Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical field
- 6+ years of experience as an Data Engineer, Data Analyst, or equivalent experience
- Expertise in SQL and advanced knowledge of at least one scripting or statistical programming language (Python, R)
- Strong understanding of analytical data-warehousing concepts
- Ability to write clear documentation and communicate complex technical topics to non-technical users
- Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize, unblock, flag risks, and push progress forward
- Experience working in relational data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery or Databricks
- Experience with data transformation tools such as DBT, DLT or SQLMesh
- Experience with Extract and Load tools such as Fivetran, Airbyte or custom Python scripting
Nice to Have
- Finance or Sales and Marketing Analytics related experience

Base salary range:
$178,500—$210,000 USD
