Your Impact
The primary purpose of this role is to implement external communications plans to support Lowe's corporate and brand marketing programs. As a key support role on the Brand PR and Corporate Communications team, this includes assistance in developing and delivering comprehensive external communications that are tied to enterprise-wide strategic goals. With the support of the team, the Senior Analyst will work cross-functionally with partners, proactively pitching earned media with human interest storyline ideas, and helping to deliver strategic external communications that promote Lowe's brand reputation with cultural relevance and earned-first thinking.
What you will do
  • Assist in brand-related external communications and public relations strategy development and implementation, supporting brand and corporate annual programming
  • Own aspects of earned-led brand public relations plans aligned with enterprise strategy and ensures communications are developed, approved, and delivered on time and on budget
  • Proactively identify earned media moments - news hijacking, trendspotting and culturally responsive pitching - to generate high-quality earned coverage
  • Develop and deepen cross-functional relationships across the business to ensure seamless coordination and collaboration
  • Execute the project management of special communication projects and initiatives
  • Assist the team in measuring success in conjunction with marketing measurement approaches that drive the business and demonstrate value creation
  • Work with external public relations agencies, and have insight/oversight into areas such as tracking budgets, reporting, and delivery of support to meet business goals
  • Demonstrate an understanding of corporate retail sector, strong media relations and strategic PR planning

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field
  • 2-4 years of Corporate Communications and/or Public Relations experience (agency or in-house)
  • Proven experience in earned media strategy, pitching and media relations

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5-7 years of Corporate Communications and/or Public Relations experience
  • Experience in retail marketing and/or operations
