Our flagship software, Artemis Cloud, connects seamlessly to client ERP, accounting, payroll, and other core business systems, delivering unified insights, automation capabilities, and advanced analytical reporting.

Position Overview:

We seek an experienced, independent, and motivated SQL-focused Data Analyst / Developer to immediately join our team on a contract basis, with the opportunity for full-time employment thereafter. The ideal candidate will confidently spearhead complex SQL querying and analytical responsibilities, requiring minimal oversight. Our current project demand is unprecedented, so your expertise and quick adaptation are essential.

Engagement Type:

  • Initial contract engagement with opportunity to move to a full-time role contingent upon performance and company growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries for client reporting, analytics, and data integration tasks.
  • Extract, transform, and analyze data primarily using PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and other relational database systems.
  • Independently diagnose and resolve performance or quality issues relating to data integrity, consistency, and speed.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams on project requirements, data quality initiatives, and analytical deliverables.
  • Assist in refining and expanding our data integration and analytical methodologies.

Location:

  • Remote position with preference for candidates in Chicago or surrounding regions.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven mastery of SQL querying, query optimization, and relational data modeling (particularly PostgreSQL and SQL Server).
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality work rapidly and independently.
  • Familiarity with at least one scripting language, especially Python, for data analysis or ETL purposes.
  • Practical understanding of cloud deployments, preferably within Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Preferred Skills (Bonus):

Familiarity or experience with at least some of the following technologies/tools:

  • ERP systems, specifically SAP, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
  • Additional database technologies, including MySQL and MariaDB.
  • PHP frameworks (Laravel, Laravel Nova).
  • CI/CD processes and platforms (GitHub, GitHub Actions).
  • Monitoring and analytical platforms (Apache Superset, Prometheus, Sentry).
  • Prior experience handling sensitive payroll, financial, and accounting data is highly advantageous.
