We are seeking a Sponsorships Manager to join the Foundation in its mission of benefitting, supporting, and enhancing the California Community Colleges—the largest and most diverse system of higher education in the nation. The Foundation for California Community Colleges is on a mission to double its impact in the next 10 years. What You’ll Do

This position's primary role is to develop and execute sponsorships and similar partnerships with corporations and other businesses seeking to provide philanthropic support for events and programs, and steward relationships with these business partners.  This new position will bring both experience and creativity to the design, implementation and management of sponsorship campaigns while stewarding relationships with sponsors and discovering new corporate and business supporters. The manager will partner closely with the Conferences and Events team and the Marketing and Communications team on planning, promoting, and delivering high quality sponsored events.

The position will also coordinate with other FoundationCCC programs and departments that have corporate and business relationships: Among the many ways FoundationCCC partners with corporations to achieve its mission and support California Community Colleges are: statewide procurement services; employer support for internships, apprenticeships, and jobs for students; grants to support students and the programs that benefit them; collaborative fundraising campaigns, including matching employee gifts; and sponsorship of high profile statewide conferences and events.

  • Work closely with Chancellor’s Office leadership, FoundationCCC’s Communications and the Conferences and Events team to design and execute effective sponsorship campaigns supporting Chancellor’s Office events and other programs and partners.
  • Plan and manage other fundraising projects with corporate partners, which may include cause marketing, peer-to-peer fundraising, and complex campaign elements, for example.
  • Design and implement effective stewardship messages and methods to thank, recognize, connect, and further engage philanthropic relationships with businesses, consistent with organizational goals and values
  • Serve as a key contact, and as a liaison and connector during events.
  • Plan and manage other fundraising projects with corporate partners, which may include cause marketing, peer-to-peer fundraising, and complex campaign elements, for example.
  • Represent FoundationCCC at conferences and events, including being the primary liaison to corporate sponsors who are attending or have a role at them.

Attributes for Success

  • Minimum of three (3+) years of related work experience in nonprofit fundraising (preferably education related), corporate giving, sponsorships, donor cultivation and solicitation, donor research, donor management, external relations, and/or other stakeholder relations.
  • Experience managing sponsorships and/or corporate giving, including working with corporate sponsors and VIPs.  Experience with peer-to-peer fundraising and cause marketing campaigns is a plus.
  • Experience managing people and/or projects, preferably in a remote work environment.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices in nonprofit organization fundraising
  • Technical proficiency with a variety of cloud-based fundraising and collaboration software programs (such as Classy, iWave, ThankView, Asana, and Miro). Experience designing reports and dashboards in a nonprofit CRM software program; Ability to work remotely and navigate various technology platforms (Zoom, MS Office Suite, Teams, Outlook, and Google Suite, etc.). Salesforce experience is a plus.

Budgeted Annual Salary Pay Range:

$90,000.00 - $95,000.00

Final salary and rates are based on education, experience, skills relevant to the role, and internal equity.
