How YOU will make a Difference:
The Claims Specialist will work with a team responsible for the accurate and timely handling of all claims received, which consist of medical, dental vision and short-term disability that HMA administers for our clients.
What YOU will do:
  • Research and process specialty claims in an accurate and timely manner (14 day TAT)
  • Process member submitted claims in a timely manner (10 Day TAT)
  • Claim Hygiene and Suspended Claim Review, CPR Claim Reviews, Stop Loss Claim Review
  • CRM Support: Process member or provider inquiries
  • MDI Claims Team Support
  • Process priority claims
  • Process case management and utilization review negotiated claims
  • Support team members and be open to providing assistance when and where needed

Knowledge, Experience, and Key Attributes needed for Success:
  • High school diploma required
  • 1-3+ years of claims processing experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, with high degree of accuracy and urgency
  • Ability to take initiative and ownership of assigned tasks, working independently with minimal supervision, yet maintain a team-oriented and collaborative approach to problem solving
  • Previous success in a fast-paced environment

CompensationThe base salary range for this position in the greater Seattle area is $30/hr - $36/hr for a level II and varies dependent on geography, skills, experience, education, and other job or market-related factors. While we are looking for level II, we may consider level III for highly qualified candidates.
