Paradromics — Founder Overflow Role

Paradromics is pioneering a direct data interface with the brain to address some of the most profound unmet needs in medicine. Our Connexus® BCI platform collects neural signals at an industry-leading scale and is designed for long-term, daily use. Our first clinical application will restore communication for people with severe motor impairment by translating neural signals into speech, text, and digital actions.

As we scale, the CEO is increasingly confronted with founder overflow — high-context, high-value projects that fall between technical, commercial, and strategic domains. We’re hiring a uniquely capable individual to absorb that overflow: someone who can understand technical content, communicate with clarity, and drive execution on critical initiatives that don’t fit neatly anywhere else in the company.

This is a rare apprenticeship-style role for someone who wants a front-row seat to how a deeptech company makes decisions, communicates science, engages investors, and shapes strategy.
This is not a work-life balance role. This will be more like a buddy-cop movie where you are handcuffed to the CEO and go on an all-consuming adventure. For the right person, it will be the opportunity of a lifetime.

The Role

You will work directly with the CEO and Founder, stepping into the earliest and most ambiguous stages of strategic projects. This role is ideal for a technically literate, high-output communicator who enjoys both thinking and doing. You don’t need to be the inventor in the room — but you do need to understand them, translate their ideas, and operationalize them.

You’ll help manage a mix of thought-leadership, investor-facing work, early-stage partnerships, and small technical projects that need momentum. This role is fast-moving, high-trust, and often unstructured. If you want a predictable job, don’t apply. If you want direct access to deeptech leadership and meaningful responsibility, you’ll thrive here.

Key Responsibilities

Thought Leadership & External Positioning

  • Conduct rapid, deep research on neurotech, deeptech, and adjacent fields to inform company positioning.
  • Collaborate on long-form thought-leadership content (blogs, op-eds, white papers)
  • Collaborate with technical teams and the CEO on peer-reviewed manuscripts, commentary, and scientific narratives.
  • Work with leadership to develop early investor and partnership materials before handing off for final polish.

Fundraising and Partnership Support

  • Attend select investor meetings with the CEO, extract concerns, and shape targeted follow-up strategies.
  • Translate complex technical insights into crisp, credible materials for investors and external stakeholders.
  • Work with Investor Relations and CEO to develop deep-dive diligence materials

Founder Overflow & Special Projects

  • Represent the CEO in early partnership conversations, technical workshops, and conference engagements.
  • Own small but important technical or cross-functional projects that lack clear departmental ownership.
  • Drive strategic initiatives requiring fast iteration, high-level judgment, and strong execution.
  • Ensure continuity and momentum on slow-burn or exploratory projects that otherwise fall to the CEO.

Requirements

  • Extroverted, high-energy, and high-EQ — able to navigate high-stakes conversations with ease.
  • High agency, low ego. This is a high-impact, behind-the-scenes role where the goal is to amplify the company mission rather than build a personal brand.
  • Strong STEM educational background with the ability to plug into dense material across disciplines.
  • Exceptional writing skills — able to synthesize complex technical concepts into clear, persuasive narratives.
  • Scrappy, adaptable, and comfortable with very low structure; thrives under shifting priorities.
  • Strong communicator who performs well under pressure.
Willingness to work evenings/weekends as needed and behind the scenes — urgency and last-minute requests are part of the reality.
