Summary

The Administrator, Spec Loan is responsible for administrating the daily functions of the Special (Spec) Loans Portfolio, including but not limited to Service member Civil Relief Act (SCRA), Adjustable Rate Mortgages (ARM), Buydowns, Balloons, and Partial Release loans in accordance with Federal, State, Investor and Company guidelines.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Reviews and processes requests for SCRA initial and continued eligibility

  • Review and validate ARM data on servicing platform for accuracy to ensure loans adjust timely

  • Completes daily, weekly, monthly ARM indexes, updates, validates and verifies on the servicing platform

  • Review initial request for partial release, act as a liaison between the customer and internal counsel for required documents until a final decision has been rendered

  • Ensure the buydown agreement and/or the balloon note matches the setup on the servicing platform

  • Perform loan level maintenance as needed on all special loan functions

  • Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers

  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance

Education and/or Experience:
Some College/Associates Degree or equivalent from two-year College or Technical School; or six (6) months to one (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 6 months to 1 year performing similar work and acquiring the skills and knowledge to qualify for this position. Mortgage servicing experience or loan processing/post closing experience preferred. Knowledge in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Independent Judgement/Problem Solving:

Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies and practices. Refers unusual problems to supervisor.

Personal/ Organizational Contacts:

Some contact with others; including general public. Purpose of contacts is to provide explanation or interpretation of information. May handle confidential information and some complex matters.

Customer Service Relationships:

Requires moderate interpersonal and communication skills to ensure that customer requests or needs are met. Acknowledges and clarifies customer inquiries, requests, or complaints to ensure that needs are identified, documented and addressed.

Work Complexity:

Tasks are multiple and diverse with some interrelationship across processes. Work requires the direct application of a variety of procedures, policies and/or precedents.

                                                                                                                    
Work Environment:

Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements. Position requires light physical activity. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
