General Description

The “Solutions Consultant” shall develop and maintain business relationships with decision makers and purchasing influencers relative to the automation systems, reliability solutions, industrial software, and associated services across the assigned geographic region. The Solutions Consultant must recognize the customers’ business drivers, uncover opportunities, and lead sales pursuits which deliver profitable growth across the portfolio.  The individual will collaborate with internal resources, inclusive of technical and practice leaders, to architect solutions, develop proposals and execute PoVs/projects. The Solutions Consultant must possess business acumen, while articulating and differentiating proposed solutions. 

Specific Responsibilities 

 

  • Maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of all Products represented and Services offered by the Process Systems, Reliability and Digital Solutions organizations, with emphasis on Emerson’s DeltaV DCS and AMS Suite
  • Establish relationships with key stakeholders at sites to understand objectives and architect solutions to deliver business outcomes
  • Author proposals for consulting engagements, proof of concepts, project executions, managed services, etc.
  • Maintain accurate forecasts and account plans
  • Achieve individual goals while contributing to company profitability
  • Perform related duties as required
  • Meet with prospects and customers at sites across the central and western geographies of North Carolina and South Carolina

Required Education & Experience 

  • BS/BA degree required in engineering or a discipline that supports knowledge of the business
  • Detailed knowledge of sales processes with a history of success
  • 3+ Years of direct selling experience within industrial manufacturing or related markets
