This exciting role sits at the forefront of what we do at Flatfile. As a Senior Solutions Architect, you'll work closely with prospects, driving the technical evaluation of our platform. By collaborating with our Sales, Product, and Engineering teams, you'll design, configure, and deploy solutions that fully leverage Flatfile’s data onboarding capabilities. While technical solutioning is at the core of this role, you’ll also engage directly with prospects to spec, refine, and demo the platform, ensuring their unique needs are not only met but exceeded.

This role is pivotal in ensuring our customers’ confidence in the platform, directly impacting their success and satisfaction with our solutions.

What you'll doPre-Sales
Drive technical discovery and design conversations with prospects who are evaluating Flatfile’s capabilities
Create technically sound proofs-of-concept (POCs) aligned with potential customers' needs
Deliver value-oriented demos and collateral that ensure prospects’ acceptance of the product
Deeply understand prospect requirements and become intimately familiar with their data migration workflows
Effectively explain how Flatfile's solutions can address unique customer challenges, setting the stage for successful customer relationships
Post-sales
Provide documentation and guidance for customers and internal teammates on the customer’s desired end-state implementation
Continuity of care is a necessity; you’ll be expected to provide context post-sale as necessary, and if any additional use cases arise, you’re responsible for the customer’s evaluation
Overall
Solution Design: Partner with customers and internal teams to create tailored solutions using Flatfile’s SDKs, APIs, and configuration tools that address complex data migration challenges
Technical Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues during the discovery phase, ensuring that data is accurately mapped, validated, and transformed
Custom Data Workflows: Design and build customized implementations that showcase Flatfile’s orchestration capabilities
Internal Collaboration: Work closely with Product and Engineering teams, providing feedback on customer use cases and identifying opportunities for platform improvements
Customer Interaction: Collaborate directly with prospects to understand their technical requirements, ensuring a smooth implementation experience
In this role, you’ll leverage TypeScript/JavaScript for solution development, Flatfile’s APIs and SDKs for integration, and cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for deployment.
You’ll also provide direct feedback and input into the in-product configuration tooling, along with developing reusable plugins for prospects and customers.
Additionally, you'll use internal collaboration tools like Slack, Attio, Github, and Linear to communicate and coordinate with Product, Engineering, and Customer teams.
What you bring to the roleEssential
Demonstrated proficiency and production-level full-stack experience in both TypeScript and Javascript (please do not apply if you do not meet this criteria)
2+ years of experience in software engineering, solutions architecture, or technical implementation roles
5+ years of experience in customer-facing technical roles
Strong understanding of APIs, data serialization formats (CSV, XML, JSON), and software integration best practices
Experience working with cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
Familiarity with data transformation and validation processes and handling structured data imports and exports
A knack for solving complex technical problems and translating prospect/customer needs into elegant solutions
A startup mindset—grit, curiosity, adaptability, proactiveness, and a desire to improve systems and processes

Experience working in ambiguity. At Flatfile, you’ll often have to seek out answers and make decisions without all the information at hand
Work experience in the SaaS space. Understanding SaaS dynamics is crucial for this role
Sales experience: working with prospects and growing a customer base. A key to success in this role will be your ability to assist in closing new business, as well as expanding current customers
