LabCorp is seeking a Software QA Analyst to join the Consumer Genetics IT team. This position is responsible for supporting projects and activities as they relate to IT quality assurance, quality control, quality improvement and UAT support. 

Job Duties/responsibilities:

  • Quick learner, self-managing with the ability to control the analysis and quality processes throughout the software lifecycle

  • Ability to project, schedule and track assigned tasks.

  • Able to determine scope and provide input to manage work effort, project resourcing and risks as required

  • Develop, review and/or provide inputs into test plans, user acceptance plans, test cases/scenarios, test and traceability matrices, and other quality documents

  • Perform and/or provide support into the test execution, defect reporting and resolution, user testing/reviews, metrics reporting and status, results validation and documentation storage

  • Flexible individual, able to collaborate with the development team as well as application support, cross-functional/systems, infrastructure, etc. to ensure the proper implementation of key functionalities, requirements and processes

  • Work with IT management, product owner and peers in coordinating UAT and functional demos

  • Experience in a medical reference or genetic laboratory setting preferred

Requirements:

  • B.S. Degree in Science or Computer Science or similar discipline

  • 4+ years of experience in all aspects of software functional testing across a broad set of technologies or healthcare business functional testing or workflow automation experience

  • Hands-on experience in Test Plan and Test Case development for compliance or validated software systems.

  • Excellent documentation and communication skills

  • Experience testing various application types (web based, client/server, COTS, etc.) from a functional and integration perspective

  • Ability to provide detailed, clear and concise testing documentation to developers / automation engineers / business

  • Experience using application lifecycle management tools (Team Foundation Server/Azure DevOps, Microsoft Test Manager, JIRA, etc.)

  • Experience testing or analyzing desktop, Web, middleware components, services and other development technologies

  • Experience with various lifecycle methodologies: Waterfall, Agile etc.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills are critical to success among this company of talented individuals

  • Quick learner who is flexible to work on multiple projects simultaneously

  • Experience in a medical reference or genetic laboratory setting preferred
