Role Title: Senior Software Engineer

Role Type: Contractor (~15 hrs a week)

Location: Remote

We are seeking experienced Software Engineering Experts to help train next-generation AI systems through high-quality technical contributions. Your software engineering expertise will be used to create realistic coding environments, develop reference solutions, and evaluate complex engineering tasks that improve AI reasoning and problem-solving capabilities.

In this role, you will design reproducible software engineering challenges covering bug fixing, feature development, code refactoring, and performance optimization. No prior AI experience is required—your expertise in software development is what matters.


RequirementsKey Responsibilities
  • Design reproducible software engineering environments for evaluating AI model performance.
  • Develop high-quality reference ("golden") solutions for complex programming challenges.
  • Contribute expert-level code samples in one or more of the following languages:
    • Python
    • Java
    • Rust
    • Go
    • C++
    • TypeScript
  • Analyze, debug, and resolve complex software defects across diverse codebases.
  • Design, implement, and validate scalable software features following industry best practices.
  • Refactor legacy applications to improve maintainability, readability, and performance.
  • Optimize software systems by identifying bottlenecks and improving efficiency.
  • Document technical reasoning, implementation decisions, and solution methodologies to improve AI training quality.
  • Review and validate technical submissions, ensuring correctness, clarity, and engineering excellence.
  • Collaborate remotely with cross-functional teams to continuously improve project quality and deliverables.
Required Qualifications
  • Strong hands-on experience with at least one of the following programming languages:
    • Python
    • Java
    • Rust
    • Go
    • C++
    • TypeScript
  • Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, object-oriented programming, and software engineering principles.
  • Proven experience debugging complex software systems and resolving production issues.
  • Experience implementing scalable software features throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Strong background in refactoring and modernizing existing codebases.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly through written documentation.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with large-scale or distributed software systems.
  • Background in software architecture, performance optimization, or system design.
  • Experience contributing to open-source projects or maintaining production-grade applications.
  • Familiarity with code reviews, engineering best practices, and collaborative software development workflows.
  • Interest in artificial intelligence, machine learning, or AI-assisted software development (prior AI experience is not required).
Compensation
  • Performance-based compensation paid per successfully completed task.
  • Earnings are based on completed work that meets project quality requirements.
  • Minimum weekly task submission requirements apply.
Start Timeline
  • Fast onboarding process with opportunities to begin contributing within 24–48 hours after successful onboarding.
  • Immediate availability is preferred.
