Software Engineer

Write code to add new software features to applications using Golang. Refactor application code to ensure future technical needs of the program.

*Telecommuting role to be performed anywhere in the U.S.

What You Will Do:

• Coordinate with team leads, architects and other engineers on product design and architecture. Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.

• Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of OpenShift components.

• Participate in code reviews and assist in maintaining high code quality.

• Work with Red Hat’s global customer support teams to aid them in assisting customers. Work with continuous integration (CI) and delivery (CD) and respond to security threats.

• Analyze and improve database performance and ensure applications meet SLO targets for responsiveness.

What You Will Bring:

• Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related role.

• Must have two (2) years of experience with at least one of the following programming languages: Golang, Python, Java, C#, or C or C++.

• Must have two (2) years of experience with: microservices architecture and concepts including APIs, versioning, and monitoring; and container-related technologies, virtualization, or distributed systems.

• Must have one (1) year of experience with AWS, GCP or Azure.

The salary range for this position is $113,547 - $169,470/year. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
