Job Description
DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Develop and maintain various DevOps related tools using Java and Python for the team such as provisioning scripts, deployment tools, and development & staging environments in AWS and on prem. Develop custom modules for AWS services and on board customers to the AWS platform to enable metrics, monitoring and alerting solutions. Build custom micro services through Ansible for users to consume for the automation purposes. Enable customer applications to fully pave/repave through Jules leveraging automation. Implement Infrastructure as Code for customers to provision infrastructure through a self-service model using Terraform. Manage the set-up, maintenance and ongoing development of continuous build/ integration infrastructure (CI/CD). Understand customer requirements for Observability and enable SLOs for the customer applications using Observability tools.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Devops Engineer, Network Operations Engineer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Linux; Unix; Windows; Agile SDLC; Infrastructure Architecture Disciplines; Microservices; J2EE; Jenkins; Java; Python; Shell Scripting; SQL; Apache Tomcat; AWS Cloud Services; Automated Testing; development skills in laC (Infrastructure As Code) creating and maintaining pipelines for building infrastructure, middleware and applications with Cyber repave capabilities using Configuration management tools; building Observability into applications, defining SLO & SLI's; and creating Grafana dashboards using Python, and PromQL.
