Department OverviewThe Partner Ecosystem & Cloud Provisioning Team delivers solutions to the public safety sector. The group is committed to providing technology and tools which will allow customers to focus on their mission, and enable them to respond faster with smarter and safer decisions. Our group build integrations between different products and features such as Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Records Management Systems (RMS), Jail Management Systems and Evidences management among other offerings. Interfaces are typically between Motorola Solutions, Inc. (MSI) products and third party applications.
Job Description

This Software Engineering position will be a member of the team that develops interfaces between Motorola's products and third party products. Develop and test software interfaces between MSI products (CAD, RMS, Real Time Command & Control, and Analytics) and a variety of 3rd party systems systems as required to meet customer requirements defined by solution architects. Interfaces are typically developed using an Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) architecture with adapters to 3rd party and MSI systems and a transformation layer that includes field mapping, filtering, triggering, and business logic.  Interfaces are implemented using a variety of technologies, including Microsoft .NET (C#), Java, XML, XSLT, SQL, microservices and kubernetes.

Basic Requirements

Bachelors Degree

At least 3 years of experience with:

• Professional software development

• .NET Framework

• Relational databases

• XML technologies to include XSLT and XML schemas

• Microservices and K8s

• RESTful web services

• Cloud technologies (Azure preferred)

• Source control technologies (Git preferred)

Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customer

Additional qualifications and experience that would be helpful:

• Java platform development

• Agile Software Development practices

• Microsoft SQL Server 2012+

• Microsoft C#

• Service Oriented Architectures (SOA)
