As a Software Engineer in Infrastructure, you will architect cloud infrastructure, develop automation, implement IaC, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring efficient and reliable systems for Granica's platform.
*Role: Software Engineer - Infrastructure*
*About Granica*
Granica is pioneering data-optimization for large-scale AI and analytics. Our unified platform slashes storage and compute costs while turbo-charging data pipelines, empowering enterprises to turn petabytes of raw data into actionable intelligence. Backed by $45 M from NEA and Bain Capital Ventures, we're scaling fast at the intersection of AI research, distributed systems, and go-to-market.
*The Team*
We're hiring multiple Software Engineers to join our Infrastructure Engineering team, which supports both internal teams and customer-facing platform services. Focus areas include core distributed systems, site reliability engineering, cloud infrastructure, observability, and ML infrastructure.
*The Role*
You'll collaborate across go-to-market, product, and research teams to understand infrastructure, data, and compute needs. You'll implement performant, scalable systems that power Granica's platform at exabyte scale, supporting production workloads and internal development environments.
*What You'll Do*
*Invent*
- Architect and build core cloud infrastructure, services, and tools to scale Granica's platform.
- Develop automation and systems for deploying, operating, and monitoring high-throughput distributed systems.
- Design observability frameworks across metrics, logging, and tracing to ensure platform transparency and reliability.
*Own*
- Define and implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) for managing cloud resources and environments at scale.
- Maintain and improve CI\u002FCD pipelines to streamline development, testing, and production deployment.
- Lead SRE practices around system health monitoring, incident management, and postmortems.
*Learn & Collaborate*
- Partner with platform and ML engineers to ensure infrastructure supports compute- and data-intensive workflows.
- Contribute to a culture of engineering excellence, knowledge-sharing, and continuous improvement.
- Take ownership of key initiatives and drive them from design through production.
*What You Bring*
- 4+ years in infrastructure, site reliability, or platform engineering roles.
- Experience with tools like Terraform, Kubernetes (EKS\u002FGKE), Helm, and services across AWS or GCP.
- Proficiency in Go, Python, or C++, with a focus on performant, maintainable systems.
- Deep familiarity with observability stacks: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Loki.
- Strong experience building and operating CI\u002FCD pipelines using GitLab, CircleCI, or ArgoCD.
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and improve live production systems.
- Bonus: Familiarity with big data or ML infrastructure tools (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Airflow).
*Compensation*
$180,000 - $220,000 (base) plus meaningful equity. Uncapped accelerators for over-achievement.
*Benefits*
- Generous 401(k) with company match
- Premium health, dental, and vision coverage for you and your dependents
- Unlimited PTO plus company-wide recharge weeks
- Catered lunch & dinner at our offices
- Immigration sponsorship and support
- Company hackathons and off-sites
*Equal Opportunity*
Granica celebrates diversity and is committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
