Job Description:
This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns.

Responsibilities:

  • Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
  • Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
  • Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack
  • Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
  • Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
  • Automates manual release activities
  • Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)

  • Experience in Web Application development using J2EE Java 8.0 and higher, Spring, REST API, Hibernate, Angular JS, SQL scripting, UNIX Shell scripting, Oracle 12c/19c, Data analysis, Jenkins, Bit Bucket, Autosys, Yaml scripting.
  • Knowledge and experience in Hadoop, Python, Scala/Pyspark, Hive/Impala • Web Container – Tomcat 9.0 and higher, Jboss, Apache 2.4.x.
  • Database –Executed database intensive development for data migrations and conversions.
  • Knowledge and experience working with J2EE frameworks MVC, Spring 4.0.9 and higher version, Hibernate.
  • Knowledge and experience working with SQL, Stored Procedures, and performance tuning.
  • Knowledge and experience working with Test Driven Development, Mockito Frameworks and JUnit.
  • A person who can handle all at once - Design/Build, Hands-on development, Co-ordination of development in distributed environment.
  • Very good at engaging Business stakeholders and apt at Business engagement and requirement discovery.
  • Should be able to implement best practices and opt for changes in the upgraded versions • Good experience in SDLC, Agile, Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery, and change management.
  • Good knowledge of Unix and development of shell scripts is required.
  • Good to have business knowledge in financial domains related to Anti-Money Laundering and Financial Crimes.
  • Effective communication and listening skills.
  • Must have knowledge of Autosys, Maven 3.0 and above, Ant, SonarQube.
  • Experience in Horizon JIRA, Git-Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible, XL Release • Software development in Agile environment.
Education:
  • • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or any quantitative discipline.
