Job Description:
This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns. Design, develop, and maintain database and ETL processes, ensuring accurate data flow and enabling data analytics as well as lead a team. This role involves creating data warehouses, writing SQL queries, developing stored procedures, tuning ETL processes, Writing Complex Shell Scripts and understand BI tools/user needs. Work with business analysts and Stakeholders to understand data needs and implement solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
  • Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
  • Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack
  • Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
  • Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
  • Automates manual release activities
  • Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science , job related field required.
  • Minimum 3 years of job related experience required.
  • Experience using ETL tools such as Informatica, SSIS, Talend, DataStage etc.
  • Proficient in Advanced SQL Skills with hands on RDBMS experience in Oracle (Exadata).
  • Hands on experience with Shell Scripting.
  • Working knowledge on Autosys and/or other scheduling tools.
  • Experience using bit bucket and xl-deploy for code release.
  • Working in Agile Team (and familiar with SAFe Agile Practices).
  • Strong Analytics skills
  • Flexible to learn and work on new technologies
  • Should be able to independently work through implementation (along with taking care of Release Management)
  • Coordinating with Product Owners and other teams are required - good interpersonal skills and communication skills are needed
  • Ability to lead a team and provide guidance on day to day activities understanding the project goals.
  • Experience using big data tools (Spark with Scala, PySpark, Pig, Scoop, Hive etc.).
  • BI Skills (Tableau / BO/MSTR)

  • Experience in Hadoop Development, with good understanding of Hadoop architecture, HDFS, Hive and Impala
