As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology: Corporate Oversight and Governance Tech , you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
* Design and develop robust ETL workflows using Informatica
* Write, debug, and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures
* Deploy and monitor ETL jobs in various environments
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues in Informatica jobs and underlying data pipelines
* Perform root cause analysis on database and performance issues
* Collaborate with data architects and analysts to understand requirements
* Maintain and enhance existing Informatica mappings and workflows
* Implement error handling, logging, and performance tuning strategies
* Participate in code reviews and enforce development standards
* Ensure data quality and integrity across ETL processes

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Posses substantial hands-on experience with Informatica
- Proven expertise and extensive hands-on experience in implementing advanced performance tuning techniques for both Informatica and SQL
- Strong SQL skills with experience in writing complex joins and stored procedures
- Experience with at least one RDBMS (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL)
- Ability to debug and troubleshoot ETL and database issues independently
- Experience with job scheduling tools like Autosys, Control-M, or similar
- Possesses a solid grasp of data warehousing principles and expertise in data modeling
- Experience working in production support and handling incident escalations
- Experience with Git or bitbucket
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD for ETL pipelines
