What You’ll Do
We are building commercial-grade technology to operate kidney care services at scale. Our data platform connects numerous healthcare systems delivering our clinicians with a wealth of data and clinical insights. The Software Engineer I focuses on building pipelines and integrating various clinical systems. Software Engineers develop a deep understanding of both the technical and business aspects of the Strive Data Platform. This role will report to a Manager, Engineering.
The Day to Day
- Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines to integrate various source systems into the Strive Data Platform
- Use cloud-native infrastructure and modern software engineering and development methodologies
- Apply and expand healthcare domain knowledge to inform the development of data pipelines and system integrations
- Implement solutions using both vendor specific and custom-built tools
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years combined of related education, experience, or certification
- 1+ year(s) of experience in software engineering, preferably in healthcare or related technology field
- Internet Connectivity - Min Speeds: 3.8Mbps/3.0Mbps (up/down): Latency <60 ms
- Ability to travel and be onsite to meet business needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Intermediate proficiency in Python (or comparable modern language such as Java, Scala, Go, C#, JavaScript, etc.)
- Experience with relational databases and SQL
- Experience with DevOps tools such as Docker, CI/CD (Gitlab)
- Experience with Cloud technologies (AWS preferred) and Infrastructure-as-Code
- Experience writing and developing unit and integration tests
- Familiarity with healthcare data types and standards (e.g., Claims, EHR systems, HL7, FHIR).
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies

Annual Salary Range: $86,000 - $104,000
