Eventbrite is a people-first organization. Our goal of building the global platform for live experience relies on the foundation of top talent and strong company culture. Eventbrite is seeking an Ads Engineer to join us in our mission to bring the world together through live experiences. Last year alone, our platform processed over 150 million tickets across over 3 million events organized by our creators. Our perfect candidate will leverage their experience innovating within our consumer-facing ads product, creating value for both our event creators and consumers.

THE ROLE

Eventbrite Ads is taking off! We're expanding our team to accelerate the development of our innovative in-house ad platform. This is your chance to join a rapidly growing team at the forefront of event marketing technology and contribute to a product that's transforming the industry. Our team is currently looking for a customer-obsessed, highly collaborative, and entrepreneurial person to join our scrappy squad expanding on this revenue-generating powerhouse. You will contribute to Eventbrite engineering’s culture of technical excellence through inclusivity, knowledge sharing, and mentorship. THE TECH STACK

We heavily leverage AWS technology to get the job done. On any given day you will be working with Lambdas, ECS and Fargate, Serverless Aurora, API Gateway, Terraform, Docker, Kinesis, and much more! We are committed to scalability through serverless applications where it makes sense.

THE SKILL SET
  • You work collaboratively with people of various skill sets
  • You are eager to learn from others but also practiced in self-directed learning
  • You know diversity is not an old wooden ship
  • You feel modeling great behaviors set the culture and is important to success
  • Practical experience working with Python in back-end applications
  • Familiarity with Data Science and Machine Learning basics
  • Familiarity with the SDLC and CI/CD pipelines
  • A results-driven self-starter with great communication and collaboration skills
  • Unit-testing know-how required; experience with TDD or BDD is an added bonus
  • You work with teams that are continuously delivering and automating processes, you are excited about working in a world-class SDLC environment
BONUS POINTS
  • Experience building in the backend of an ad platform
  • Experience building the backend in a reporting platform
  • Experience with Timestream, Elasticsearch, or Snowflake
  • Experience with event-driven architecture
  • You have experience with Machine Learning at scale
  • You have experience designing and developing Web APIs
  • You have experience with Terraform or the AWS CDK

PAY TRANSPARENCY

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Eventbrite, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is listed below. You may also be eligible to participate in Eventbrite’s incentive program(s) (such as equity, annual incentive bonus and commission plans), subject to the applicable rules and restrictions.
