The Role:
As a Software Engineer in Automated Testing (SDET) on our Video Streaming team, you will build and maintain automation tests and tools for our video software suite. By proactively addressing critical challenges such as latency, scalability, and interoperability, you’ll help position our video infrastructure ahead of the competition and open doors to future opportunities. Your work will ensure the reliability and quality of our streaming technology, serving more than 600 million users across the globe. To succeed in this role, you should have a deep understanding of end-to-end automation and feel comfortable owning projects independently, especially in automation test suites and the realm of video streaming solutions.
You Will:
- Collaborate with the Video team to gather test automation needs.
- Build, document, and maintain an end-to-end testing framework.
- Identify application weaknesses and review bug reports to highlight problem areas and opportunities for new testing.
- Define, apply & maintain effective automation design standards and practices with the objectives of maximizing reusability and maintainability.
- Escalate critical bugs and work with developers to prioritize fixes.
- Create and maintain test & engineering documentation.
You Have:
- Professional experience testing video streaming applications (e.g., live video, VOD, WebRTC, RTMP, HLS).
- Experience with live video protocols (e.g., RTMP, HLS, WebRTC).
- Experience testing applications both manually and with automation.
- Deploying and utilizing testing frameworks.
- Fully owning all projects you take on or that are assigned to you, working independently with little to no assistance from other team members.
- A passion for troubleshooting, problem-solving, and finding bugs.

The Base Salary range for this position is $145,000 - $162,000 USD. This range reflects base salary only and does not include additional compensation or benefits. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum range for a new hire across the US for the posted position. A candidate’s specific pay will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the candidate’s job-related skills, relevant education, training, experience, certifications, and abilities of the candidate, as well as other factors unique to each candidate.
