About the Team & Role:
We're building Rubrik Annapurna, a managed RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) platform that enables enterprises to securely connect their data with Large Language Models. Our team operates at the intersection of AI, distributed systems, and enterprise security, creating solutions that make it simple for organizations to build production-grade AI applications.
As a member of the Annapurna team, you'll work with cutting-edge AI technologies while solving complex challenges in scaling, security, and performance. We're a collaborative team passionate about pushing the boundaries of what's possible with enterprise AI infrastructure.
What You'll Do:
- Build advanced generative AI systems:
- Design systems leveraging state-of-the-art language and multimodal models
- Create intelligent model orchestration layers across different providers
- Implement specialized fine-tuning pipelines for enterprise use cases
- Build evaluation frameworks for model performance and output quality
- Develop sophisticated RAG infrastructure:
- Design efficient document processing and chunking pipelines
- Create intelligent context retrieval mechanisms
- Optimize embedding generation and vector search systems
- Build adaptive systems that learn from user interactions
- Architect scalable AI platforms:
- Implement hybrid architectures combining different types of models
- Build multimodal pipelines for processing images, PDFs, and rich documents
- Create intelligent routing and caching systems
- Develop comprehensive monitoring and observability solutions
- Drive innovation:
- Design autonomous agentic systems for complex tasks
- Build novel architectures combining different model types
- Create developer-friendly APIs and SDKs
- Implement sophisticated evaluation frameworks
Experience You’ll Need:
You are passionate about delivering generative AI products by working with complex distributed systems that serve business and enterprise customers.
- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or in any related field
- Experience building systems with large language models
- Understanding of different model architectures and their trade-offs
- Background in fine-tuning and optimizing models
- Familiarity with multimodal AI systems
- Knowledge of modern AI frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex
- Ability to stay up to date on the state of the art in generative AI
- Strong interest and ability to learn new technologies
The minimum and maximum base salaries for this role are posted below; additionally, the role is eligible for bonus potential, equity and benefits. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the role based on U.S. location. Within the range, the salary offered will be determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

$152,400—$228,700 USD
