Key Responsibilities
This role serves the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) as a senior software developer and technical team leader specializing in low-code/no-code platform development, with primary focus on resolving complex software problems, leading development teams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires expertise in modern lowcode/no-code platforms, particularly Appian, to support the Electronic Contract Writing Module (ECWM) and related systems. The role involves leading development projects, mentoring junior developers, participating in software documentation efforts, and ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet Government requirements and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications

Experience: Five (5) years of relevant software development experience with progressively increasing responsibility

Low-Code/No-Code Platforms: Demonstrated experience with application programming interfaces (APIs) to support Low-Code/No-Code Development Platform models

BPMN Tools: Proven experience using low-code/no-code business process modeling notation (BPMN) tools

Process Automation: Experience developing application/process automation software based on BPMN models

Platform Expertise: Hands-on experience using software tools such as Appian, Salesforce, Nintex, or similar platforms

Database Skills: Experience with Microsoft SQL Server databases and Microsoft .NET development environment

 Development Methodology: Experience in agile and hybrid low-code application development approaches

Certification: Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority (e.g., Appian Certified Developer, Microsoft Certified Developer, Salesforce Platform Developer) DoD Approved 8140/8570 Baseline Certification

 

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field


 Preferred Qualifications:

 Advanced certifications in low-code/no-code platforms (Appian Certified Senior Developer, Salesforce Platform Developer II)

  • Experience with Government contracting systems (CON-IT, ECWM, or similar)
  • Knowledge of DoD/DLA requirements and processes
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Familiarity with AI/ML integration in low-code platforms
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
  • Experience with DevSecOps practices and tools
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (DoDAF, TOGAF)
  • Experience mentoring and developing junior developers
