Position Summary We're seeking an enthusiastic Social Media Specialist to join our marketing team and help expand our digital presence across emerging platforms. This role is perfect for someone passionate about social media trends who wants to grow their career in digital marketing while making a meaningful impact on our brand's online community and talent attraction efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Advocacy Program
- Develop and implement strategies to encourage employees to share company content and become brand ambassadors
- Create easy-to-use content templates and guidelines for employee sharing
- Track and measure employee engagement and advocacy metrics
- Organize training sessions to help employees feel confident sharing on their personal networks
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify shareable moments and achievements
Employee Brand & Talent Acquisition Support
- Partner with HR and recruiting teams to showcase company culture and employee experiences on social media
- Create and curate content that highlights our workplace, team achievements, and career opportunities
- Develop social media strategies to attract top talent and build employer brand awareness
- Support recruitment campaigns by promoting job openings and company events across social platforms
- Monitor and engage with talent-focused conversations and communities online
- Assist in creating authentic employee spotlight content and behind-the-scenes glimpses of company life
Emerging Platform Management
- Support our presence on Reddit by engaging authentically with relevant communities and subreddits
- Develop and execute TikTok content strategy, including trend research and video creation
- Stay current with platform-specific best practices, algorithm changes, and emerging features
- Experiment with new social platforms and assess their potential for our brand
- Create platform-native content that resonates with each audience
General Social Media Support
- Assist with content creation, scheduling, and community management across all channels
- Monitor social media conversations and respond to comments and messages
- Support social media campaigns and promotional activities
- Analyze performance metrics and provide insights for optimization
- Collaborate with design and content teams on visual and written materials
Requirements
- 1-2 years of social media experience (internships and personal projects count)
- Deep understanding of Reddit culture and TikTok trends
- Strong writing skills and attention to detail
- Basic design skills and familiarity with content creation tools
- Analytical mindset with ability to interpret social media metrics
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Understanding of employer branding and talent acquisition trends
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred
