The Role

As our Social Media Manager, you’ll lead the day-to-day content strategy, channel management, and IP collaboration across Nex Playground’s social platforms in collaboration with the Director of Marketing Communication, social strategist, and agency partner(s). You’ll bring our brand to life through cultural storytelling and community engagement. Your mission is to grow our audience and help build the future of Nex.

What You'll Do
  • Content Creation: Concept, brief, edit, workshop, and publish content across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, and more. Capture the energy of gameplay, family moments, IP partnerships, creators, product experiences, and more.
  • Platform Ownership: Manage our end-to-end presence across social platforms. This includes scheduling, publishing, moderation, and performance reporting. Maintain a clear, consistent brand voice across all channels.
  • Conversation and Engagement: Be a part of cultural conversations on our owned channels and by actively participating in relevant moments across platforms. Help position Nex as a brand that listens, engages, and shows up in authentic ways during key cultural moments.
  • Cultural Relevance: Stay plugged into internet and platform trends. Pitch and execute timely, culturally relevant content that feels native to each channel and expands reach.
  • Copywriting: Write sharp, engaging captions that reflect Nex’s tone, tailoring messaging by platform and audience.
  • Campaign Support: Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and design teams on launches, brand moments, and ongoing campaigns.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor post and channel analytics to understand what’s working. Use learnings to guide future content and report on key metrics.
What You Bring

We’re looking for a creative, organized, and hands-on social media storyteller who understands how to grow a brand through native content and authentic connection. The ideal candidate is a self starter and has:

  • 3–5 years of social media or content marketing experience, ideally in consumer products, lifestyle, or family/tech spaces
  • A strong track record of creating/briefing in engaging, original social content—especially short-form video (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts)
  • Proficiency in creative tools (e.g. Figma, Adobe, CapCut, Canva, etc.)
  • Excellent writing and captioning skills with a sharp eye for tone and clarity
  • Deep understanding of platform nuances, trends, and audiences
  • A proactive, self-starter mindset—you’re comfortable owning projects and iterating quickly
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; you thrive in fast-paced environments
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally and receiving feedback from multiple teams
  • US-based (remote OK) with flexibility for occasional travel to team offsites or filming needs
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with creators or influencers
  • Interest in gaming, movement, family brands, or startup culture
We Offer
  • Competitive compensation package.
  • Flexible working hours and vacation policy.
  • Product-driven culture that treasures talents and individual growth.
  • Front-row seat and hands-on experience with cutting edge technologies in the evolving gaming field
