Job Description:

MKTG Sports + Entertainment is looking for an ambitious Social Media Director to join our content team. This is a diverse role with the opportunity to lead multiple projects across our client roster. We’re looking for someone with a deep knowledge and passion of the sports industry (motorsports/F1, NFL is a plus) who will play a vital role in leading the team on social and influencer-led campaigns.

About You              

Candidates should have a minimum of eight years of experience in a similar role with the following attributes:

  • Expert knowledge of the social media landscape with a proven track record of developing best-in-class social and influencer campaigns
  • Well-versed in strategy development and analytics, ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Previous experience managing at least one direct report
  • Culturally aware – you what’s #trending in sports and culture and pride yourself on that
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience contributing to new business from developing pitch decks to presenting
  • Well-versed at managing budgets and building out scopes
  • Comfortable leading accounts and building relationships with clients
  • Excited to help grow our business – this means willing to work non-standard hours, wearing multiple hats and responding to real-time events under tight deadlines

Key Responsibilities

  • This role will report to the VP of Social and Influencer Marketing, helping to lead the end-to-end process social strategy and influencer campaigns, inclusive of strategy, creative development, editorial calendar management, campaign execution and reporting
  • Day-to-day lead across key accounts; most related to sponsorships across sports (F1, NFL, College Sports)
  • Manage and mentor a growing team across multiple clients
  • Partner with sponsorship / consulting team to guide social strategy and develop best practices
  • Collaborate with production and creative teams to develop ideas through execution
  • Achieve team revenue targets by helping to organically grow existing client engagements, lead new business opportunities, and participate in new business pitches
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of social trends, content formats, emerging platforms, and platforms updates
  • Effectively manage projects and create timelines based on priorities, resource availability, and other requirements
  • Oversee project finances including managing budget, invoicing, and reconciliations

Additional Information

The annual salary range for this position is $94,000-$152,375. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
