We're looking for a Social Media Coordinator to be the operational engine behind MeanPug's social media output. This role sits alongside our Social Media Manager and owns the execution layer: content is scheduled on time, every post clears QC before it goes live, community conversations are monitored and triaged daily, and reporting data is pulled and organized for strategic review.

This is not a strategy role and it's not a design role. The Social Media Manager owns outcomes: growth, retention, creative direction, and client relationships. You own output: on-time, on-brand, on-QC delivery, consistently, across every client, every day. If you're someone who takes genuine pride in a clean content calendar, a fast community response time, and a system that just works, this role is for you.

What You'll Do
Content scheduling and publishing

  • Schedule and publish approved content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, X, and other platforms
  • Adapt formatting per platform including captions, image sizing, link placement, and native upload requirements
  • Run the QC checklist on every post before it goes live, no exceptions

Community management

  • Monitor comments, DMs, and mentions across all client accounts multiple times daily
  • Triage interactions: respond directly to routine ones, draft (but do not send) anything requiring the Social Media Manager's input, and escalate anything high-risk within a defined SLA
  • Maintain an escalation log for anything flagged upward

Reposting and cross-posting

  • Execute the reposting cadence built by the Social Media Manager across platforms
  • Flag resurfacing opportunities the Social Media Manager hasn't already identified
  • Resize existing designs for cross-platform use as needed (no original design work required)

Reporting and analytics

  • Pull raw analytics monthly across clients including engagement, reach, impressions, and CTR
  • Build and populate the report deck structure using a defined template; the Social Media Manager adds strategic narrative
  • Flag notable metric shifts weekly, not just at month-end

Content calendar and workflow management

  • Maintain the shared content calendar so status is always visible without the Social Media Manager having to chase it
  • Proactively flag deadline risk before it becomes a problem

Competitor tracking and asset management

  • Run a weekly competitor scan across client-provided lists, compiling content and format shifts into a short recurring summary
  • Maintain Canva and Drive folder structures and naming conventions per client
  • Keep the approved asset library organized and current

Process and onboarding support

  • Execute the onboarding checklist for new clients as needed
  • Surface friction points from daily execution and participate in periodic QC checklist reviews as the system evolves

Requirements
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in a social media coordination, community management, or digital marketing execution role, agency experience strongly preferred
  • Hands-on experience scheduling and publishing content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other major platforms
  • Familiarity with social media scheduling tools such as Sprout Social, Later, Buffer, or similar
  • Strong attention to detail, you catch formatting issues, broken links, and typos before they go live
  • Comfortable managing multiple client accounts simultaneously without letting anything slip
  • Organized and self-directed, you maintain systems rather than waiting to be reminded
  • Clear written communication skills for community management responses and internal flagging
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced remote environment with defined processes and tight turnaround times

Bonus Skills (nice To Have)

  • Experience with Canva for basic asset resizing and formatting
  • Familiarity with social analytics tools and pulling platform-level data exports
  • Experience in legal, professional services, or other regulated industries
  • Comfort with project management tools such as Asana, Monday, or Notion
  • Experience supporting a social media manager or working within a defined content workflow

Benefits
  • PTO
