Working hours: Monday through Friday 4-5 hours per day. Total expected hours per week: 25.

We are looking for an innovative and creative social media and web specialist to develop social media and web content objectives for company, ensure those objectives are aligned with the Corporate Communications strategy, develop actionable plans and execute on those to increase our online presence. This person will write, review, edit, design, coordinate and post social media and website content for the company and deliver measurable results. The specialist will work collaboratively with staff from across the organization to help achieve company’s goals. This person will help maintain aligned messaging and shape understanding of the company, its purpose, and its progress toward achieving its mission of leading innovative science and driving clinical outcomes to transform people's lives. This person will directly contribute to the advancement of the Corporate Communications function and play a pivotal role in ensuring company's credibility and in supporting the company’s community-building efforts.
You will be based at our headquarters in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, and will work with teams across company, which has facilities in 5 countries, as well as with teams at Bayer and company subsidiaries.
Responsibilities
· Works directly with the Vice President, Corporate Communications, and other senior staff to develop social media and website content.
· Research, write, edit, proof, and post social media posts and website content.
· Develop and maintain a monthly editorial calendar that highlights milestones, awareness days and other topics for external audiences.
· Regularly update and maintain social media channels and corporate website.
· Support social media and website content review processes among key stakeholders. This will involve securing approval of content, posting content and/or routing responses appropriately.
· Stay updated on new online technologies, best practices and industry trends to identify innovative strategies and solutions.
· Collaborate with cross-functional team, as well as Communications team members at Bayer and company subsidiaries, to ensure consistency of messaging and visuals.
· Work to align social media and website content with key business external campaigns and priorities.
· Manage vendors, projects and planning globally, requiring significant coordination, interaction and collaboration with leaders across functions and companies.
· Partner with Human Resources, Employee Resource Groups, Employee Engagement Committee, DE&I Council and others on priority topics, especially those related to employee culture and engagement objectives.
· Build and implement social media programs that encourage audiences to engage with company on Facebook, LinkedIn, X, YouTube and others.
· Monitor social media groups, trends, tools and applications and recommend actions/next steps.
· Monitor and report on the company's social media and website performance and report on insights gained.
· Respond to social media inquiries in a timely and courteous fashion, and proactively engage via social media.
· Perform other related duties as needed or assigned by the Vice President, Corporate Communications.
Qualifications
· Professional experience managing social media channels across all major platforms
· Professional web content development experience, including ability to work in WordPress
· BA/BS in communications, business, science or related field (required)
· 2+ years of experience working in social media roles
· Pharmaceutical / Biotechnology industry experience (preferred)
· The ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%
