About the team and role:

We’re looking for a social media marketing lead to help define and develop an outstanding social media presence for eBay supporting our Trading Cards  & Collectibles categories. This includes all social channels: existing to emerging.

Responsible for managing the eBay Trading Cards/ Collectibles  category social strategy including the development of social and influencer briefs, content curation, plan and lead on-the-ground activations at culturally relevant events. Lead in agency briefings; align with marketing, business and cross-functional partners to adapt initiatives into robust, measurable strategic social plans and editorial calendars. Synthesize multiple data inputs (paid and organic, influencer reports, internal dashboards, market trends) for actionable insights and reporting to present iterative content strategy. Work directly with brand marketing, comms, internal and external creative teams and partners to drive brand and campaign objectives. Bring creative solutions to business and marketing initiatives. Forge and foster a community of motors enthusiasts across relevant platforms.
 

What you will accomplish:

  • Lead the development and execution of collectibles social strategy end to end for both paid + organic social

  • Lead influencer marketing for  collectibles social 

  • Stay ahead of the curve with trends, platform updates, and standard processes, continuously pushing innovative ideas and test/learn campaigns + Establish and enforce social media channel standard processes to drive engagement and growth.

  • Be an analytics expert, using data to make informed, actionable decisions and optimize social strategies and tactics.

  • Lead projects end-to-end, working with multiple partners to ensure clarity, alignment, and timely execution.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Brand Marketing, Media Planning, Communications

  • Be highly process- and results-driven, constantly optimizing for speed, efficiency, and impact.

  • Manage relationships with external agencies 

What you will bring:

  • 6+ years of experience in social media management, ideally within the ecommerce space

  • Proven track record of leading social media campaigns, managing budgets, and driving measurable results.

  • Demonstrated experience leading influencer marketing programs, from strategy to execution, to overall drive success based on campaign objectives

  • Expertise in platform standard processes, content creation, and social media tools/technologies.

  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision making.

  • Leadership experience in guiding projects from start to finish, managing partners and achieving goals.

  • Ability to collaborate & Partner with extensive list of cross-functional teams including Brand Marketing, Media Planning, Comms and Growth to plan, implement, measure and present campaign / owned social strategy performance

  • Knowledge of paid + organic  social media campaigns 

  • Knowledge of  collectibles enthusiasts is a plus, but not required.


The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

$70,000 - $120,700

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
