UX/UI Developers bring engaging digital experiences to life by blending front-end web development with UX design. In this role, you’ll apply a solid understanding of UX and UI principles to build high-quality, on-brand interfaces that enhance the customer journey across our marketing channels.

You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate creative concepts into functional, responsive designs that balance user needs, brand standards, and technical feasibility. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and passionate about solving problems through thoughtful, user-centered design and clean, scalable code.

UX/UI Developers at Peter Millar work across both the Peter Millar and G/FORE brands, including our international sites (Peter Millar US & UK, G/FORE US & UK).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Build and launch website content for two luxury brands, supporting ecommerce, marketing and site merchandising objectives to drive revenue and hit KPIs
  • Partner with E-commerce and Creative teams throughout the scheduling and development process to ensure efficient, high-quality project delivery
  • Drive successful, on-time project launches by aligning cross-functional teams, resolving roadblocks, and managing priorities with Media and Merchandising teams.
  • Collaborate on competitive analysis of site features to find opportunities to optimize site usability, performance and design
  • Support ongoing process improvement by adhering to best practices and identifying opportunities for greater efficiency
  • Contribute to the UX design process for new features – offering input as both a consultant and hands-on designer when needed

  • Facilitate clear communication between QA and development teams through detailed bug reporting to accelerate feature launches

COMPETENCIES:

  • Execute development projects that range in complexity using web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (and libraries/tools including Svelte, Sass, Vite, and Node.js)
  • A high attention to detail, and accuracy in translating designs to code
  • When developing content, use pattern libraries, style guides, and other site documentation to maintain accuracy, brand consistency, and accelerate the development workflow
  • Code responsive, optimized, and accessible (WCAG 2.1) web pages and content
  • Occasionally, produce design deliverables such as sketches, wireframes, user flows, and prototypes, using pen and paper and design applications (such as Figma)
  • Analyze designs for technical limitations and user experience concerns and offer suggestions for improvement
  • Communicate ideas effectively to the team and iterate based on feedback
  • Work well in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities
  • Manage time effectively and work well both independently and as part of a team

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, HCI, or related practical experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in a related field
  • Experience writing HTML, CSS, JavaScript with and without a framework
  • Experience with UI/UX designs apps such as Figma is preferred
  • Experience working within Salesforce Cloud Commerce is preferred
  • Experience working in E-Commerce is preferred
