We are looking for a versatile and detail-oriented Business Analyst / Scrum Master to support the implementation of ServiceNow’s Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) modules. This dual-role position will drive requirements gathering, backlog refinement, testing, and Agile delivery for a federal client, working closely with the Project Manager, developers, and client stakeholders.

Location: Remote within United States

Duration: This position is expected to last through Sept 2026

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct requirements gathering sessions and document process workflows, user stories, and acceptance criteria related to HAM/SAM.
  • Serve as Scrum Master for the delivery team, facilitating daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, demos, and retrospectives.
  • Own the HAM/SAM story backlog and ensure alignment with technical feasibility and platform best practices.
  • Collaborate directly with client stakeholders to refine and prioritize features.
  • Support UAT coordination and end-user documentation in lieu of a dedicated QA/test team.
  • Track open action items, risks, and decisions across working sessions.
  • Help manage delivery cadence and align sprint goals with contract deliverables and resource availability.
  • Serve as a key communication link between developers and business/technical stakeholders.
  • Effectively lead and operationalize meetings to deliver a consensus on the desired outcomes.
  • Collaborate with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders, with the ability to effectively communicate with all audiences.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, management, information systems, engineering or related field (8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education) 
  • 8+ Years of combined experience as a Business Analyst and Scrum Master with ServiceNow
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow HAM and/or SAM modules.
  • Familiarity with asset lifecycle processes, license models, and IT asset governance.
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks and backlog management tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow Agile).
  • Excellent facilitation, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in federal or compliance-driven environments strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder.

Nice to Have:

  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI-ACP, or equivalent Agile certification.
  • ServiceNow CSA or HAM/SAM certifications.
  • Experience working with ServiceNow Discovery, Flexera, or related asset/license tools.
  • Experience creating process maps and functional documentation using tools like Lucidchart, Miro, or Visio.
