LightFeather is seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer to support ongoing development and enhancement of the ServiceNow platform, with a primary focus on ITSM. In this role, you will work closely under the guidance of a ServiceNow Architect, delivering high-quality configurations, customizations, and integrations aligned with technical standards and client requirements.

This position is ideal for a developer who brings deep ServiceNow platform expertise, strong scripting ability, and a collaborative mindset to work across technical and functional teams supporting mission-critical needs.

Location: Remote (U.S. based only)
Job Type: Full Time
Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship Required
Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy ServiceNow configurations and custom applications.

  • Support ongoing improvements and optimization of ServiceNow ITSM modules.

  • Collaborate with the ServiceNow Architect and business analysts to clarify requirements and deliver solutions aligned with client needs.

  • Participate in technical design reviews and contribute to best practice documentation.

  • Maintain and refine update sets, release processes, and technical documentation.

  • Contribute to continuous process improvement and platform stability.

Required Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship and active Secret clearance

  • 5–7 years of experience developing on the ServiceNow platform

  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)

  • At least one ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certification (ITSM preferred)

  • Expert-level proficiency in ServiceNow scripting, including:

    • Server-side and client-side JavaScript

    • Glide API / Glide scripting

  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow development best practices, including:

    • Application scoping

    • Data segregation

    • Performance optimization

  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum development methodologies

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with technical and functional teams

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in federal or defense contracting environments

  • Familiarity with release coordination, version control, and agile delivery methods
