YOUR IMPACT
Redwood Software is looking for a data-driven, creative, and proactive SEO & GEO Specialist to join our marketing team and help us scale inbound organic growth. The ideal candidate is obsessed with the future of search, possessing a foundational understanding of traditional SEO alongside a passion for cutting-edge techniques like Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO). You understand that in the age of large language models, search visibility demands both data science and artful content structuring.
The SEO & GEO Specialist will play a key role in evolving our search strategy to capture visibility in AI Overviews and conversational results, driving high-intent qualified traffic, and maximizing organic conversions. You’ll collaborate with content, product marketing, and web teams to implement and optimize the full spectrum of search - from blue links to AI-generated answers.
- Perform regular site audits to identify technical SEO issues and collaborate with the web team to resolve them across all Redwood websites.
- Optimize on-page elements including metadata, internal linking, heading structure, and content formatting
- Conduct keyword research to find additional search opportunities, including evaluating competitors' websites to identify content gaps and optimization opportunities
- Track and report on pertinent SEO metrics such as rankings, sessions, and demos and proactively make recommendations for improvement
- Translate target keywords and topics into structured prompts or question-based formats for AI-driven search engines
- Test different prompt structures, content formats and AI-driven content approaches to improve discoverability
- Track and report on GEO metrics such as Share of Voice, Mention Rate and Citation Rate
- Collaborate with a variety of teams, including designers, developers, content creators, etc.
- Stay updated with algorithm changes, SEO/GEO best practices, tools, and competitive trends
YOUR EXPERIENCE
- 1-3 years of hands-on SEO experience, preferably within enterprise software/SaaS environment
- Understanding of ranking factors and search engine optimization best practices
- Familiar with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Semrush or similar
- Passion for SEO and internet marketing, including staying up-to-date with SEO/GEO trends, new tools, and practices.
- Experience implementing and optimizing strategies for AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization)
- Familiar with using generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or internal LLMs) for keyword research, analysis and optimization recommendations
- Strong analytical, GA reporting and Excel/Google Sheets skills
- Basic understanding of Semantic HTML, Schema Markup, and cross-device compatibility concepts
- Outstanding flexibility, adaptability, sense of accountability, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
