* Job summary
* We are seeking a Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support high-visibility, mission-critical programs in Colorado Springs. As a senior member of the cybersecurity team, you will lead efforts to protect classified and unclassified systems across hybrid environments. This position requires a deep understanding of DoD cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, enclave security, and mission assurance within a multi-domain environment.
* What you will do
* Serve as the technical lead and cybersecurity advisor for DoD systems, cloud workloads, and mission enclaves
* Develop, implement, and assess cybersecurity strategies and architectures aligned with RMF, NIST 800-53/171/172, and DoD 8510.01
* Guide the development of ATO packages and continuous monitoring plans
* Conduct vulnerability assessments, STIG compliance audits, and cybersecurity risk analyses
* Advise engineering teams on secure design principles, boundary defense, identity management, and ZTA principles
* Support incident response, threat modeling, and red/blue/purple team coordination
* Collaborate with mission partners and stakeholders to ensure security postures align with operational needs
* Author cybersecurity documentation including POA&Ms, SSPs, CONOPs, and SOPs
* What we expect of you
* Active Top Secret/SCI clearance
* CISSP, CISM, GSLC, or similar DoD 8570 IAM Level III certification
* Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
* 10+ years of experience in DoD cybersecurity roles, including SME-level advisory or leadership roles
* Deep knowledge of RMF, STIGs, NIST 800-53/171/172, and related frameworks
* Experience securing networks, systems, and applications in classified environments
* Strong communication and technical writing skills, with experience interfacing with both engineers and government stakeholders
* Previous experience utilizing SentinelOne cybersecurity platform
* Previous experience utilizing Trellix threat deduction
* Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience supporting Department of Defense or IC Community environments
* Familiarity with multi-domain solutions (CDS), Zero Trust, and hybrid cloud security
* Knowledge of tools such as ACAS, HBSS, Splunk, Tenable, and endpoint protection platforms Salary range: $175,000 - $210,000, depending on experience and skill set Benefits overview: [ https://cdw.benefit-info.com/](https://cdw.benefit-info.com/) Salary ranges may be subject to geographic differentials
