Senior Wireless Network Engineer

What You Will Do:

  • Assess existing wireless networks to determine health scores and areas that need to be updated to a contemporary state
  • Collaborate with endpoint support teams to determine technical specifications & expectations per endpoint device type
  • Develop high-level & low-level designs that depict the before/after networks, and the transition plan to migrate from legacy to new environment is the least impactful, and most efficient way
  • Lead in training remote peers in wireless best practices
  • Coordinate with Project Management and partnering teams to assemble quotes, order/track/receive/assemble/test/stage new equipment
  • Oversee and participate in the implementation tasks to bring new hardware, software & configurations online, migrate users, and decommission the legacy environment
  • Provide day-1 support for newly activated environments, to make sure everything is stable before turning over to operations for steady-state support
  • Perform project closure tasks to turnover finished deliverables to the Network Operations team
  • Assist in day-to-day operations

What You Need to Succeed:

  • 5+ Years Wireless Site Survey experience, strong preference for candidates with Ekahau experience
  • 5+ Years experience supporting wireless network infrastructure
  • 5+ Years experience supporting wired network infrastructure
  • Experience with various routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, Static)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office administrative tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams)
  • Associates degree with 7 years of experience or bachelors degree with 5 years, or high school diploma with 10 years of experience
  • Strong preference for candidates with Cisco certifications (CCNP Wireless)

Compensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

  • The expected Base Salary Range: $115k-$130k. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

  • Bonus Eligible: Yes
