The Role
As the Developer Team Lead, you will serve as the senior developer within ADG’s development group, reporting directly to the Director of Technology. This role is both technical and leadership-focused: you will build and customize CMS-driven platforms, mentor developers, and ensure that projects are delivered on time, provide technical direction, and provide input to product direction with quality and scalability in mind.
You will remain hands-on with coding while guiding your team in following best practices, modern development workflows, and collaborative delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and coach developers, fostering growth and continuous learning.
- Develop, maintain, enforce standards and procedures for developers to maintain quality and consistency.
- Manage and provide leadership to developers for product enhancements, projects, and customer support tasks.
- Write and review code to maintain high-quality, scalable solutions.
- Design and implement CMS-driven applications using .NET (C#) and related technologies.
- Integrate REST APIs, authentication systems (OAuth2, SAML, OpenID Connect), and enterprise platforms, with documentation in OpenAPI (Swagger).
- Oversee cloud deployments in Azure, ensuring performance, reliability, and security.
- Promote CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and agile development practices.
- Partner with project managers, designers, and creative teams to deliver engaging, responsive, and accessible digital platforms.
Required Skills and Experience
- 7+ years of professional experience in web development with .NET (C#), ASP.NET Core/MVC, MS SQL Server, and front-end web technologies.
- Proven experience building and customizing CMS platforms (Umbraco, Sitecore, Kentico, or custom CMS).
- Proficiency with REST APIs, AJAX, Git, and API tools like OpenAPI (Swagger) and Postman.
- Strong knowledge of cloud environments (Azure preferred).
- Familiarity with accessibility (WCAG) and web security best practices.
- Demonstrated success in leading or mentoring developers.
Nice to Have
- Experience with serverless application architectures, such as Azure App Service and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with enterprise system integrations (Salesforce, Workday, Ellucian).
- Background in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
- Experience administering Windows Server and IIS.
- Have basic understanding of networking principles.
- Experience developing Application Architectures including Web Applications, N-Tier Applications, and Multitenant Applications.
