What Are We Looking For?
As the Web Analyst you will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and optimizing Google Analytics for our website and digital properties. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide actionable insights using web data, assist in improving user experience, and help track key performance indicators (KPIs). The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent technical skills, excellent communication skills and a passion for improving digital experiences through data.
What Will You Do?
- Lead the implementation, configuration, and ongoing management of Google Analytics
- Set up and configure google analytics tracking for websites, apps, and other digital platforms
- Create custom event tracking and set up goals and conversions to align with business objectives
- Analyze web traffic and user behavior data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
- Analyze the performance of marketing campaigns across multiple channels by connecting website user behavior with other sales and customer data and providing insights and recommendations for optimization
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) including conversion rates through the marketing and sales funnel to assess campaign effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
- Provide insights into the performance of digital marketing channels, content, and user flows
- Work with our UX/UI teams to identify and suggest improvements based on user behavior and conversion data
- Identify trends and patterns in customer behavior and campaign performance to provide actionable insights that help drive marketing strategy
- Build and maintain interactive dashboards to provide real-time insights to marketing stakeholders, enabling data-driven decision-making
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and updates in web analytics, GA4 features, and digital measurement best practices
- Self-directed, innovative thinker with strong attention to detail who needs limited guidance to frame business problems, develop and iterate on appropriate analysis in the face of ambiguity
What Skills and Knowledge Should You Bring?
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience working with Google tools (GA4, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console) and other web analytics tools (Semrush, Microsoft Clarity, etc)
- Comfortable with setting up and managing Google Analytics goals, events, tracking, and custom reports
- Heavy experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau, Excel, Salesforce, etc)
- Proficient in SQL
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and actionable manner to all levels
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Please note: This is a 3-4 month contract position, rate: $50-$55/hour.
