Summary

Vanguard continues to mature and expand the wealth management experience provided to clients, most recently focusing on ultra-high-net-worth solutions and services, traditionally provided by private client or family office firms. We are looking for unique, dynamic candidates for this Senior Wealth Advisor role to join us on this journey. This is Vanguard’s highest level of wealth management/financial advisor.

What It Takes

  • Serve as the primary contact and trusted partner to Vanguard’s largest/ultra-high‑highnet‑net‑worth and complex clients with the assigned geographic region, extending to broader family wealth relationships and management
  • Leverage your unique background and skills to build deep client relationships with these clients
  • Deliver personalized investment and wealth planning strategies aligned with Vanguard’s investment philosophy
  • Demonstrate the highest level of investment acumen to serve as a leading subject matter expert to internal partners and clients regarding financial planning
  • Collaborate with Vanguard specialists to help clients achieve long term‑term financial goals with confidence (for example - Estate Planning & Tax strategies, Charitable, Family Office, Private Equity)
  • Manage leads/prospects from internal sales and relationship teams on prospective wealth management client engagement efforts for growth (as applicable)
  • Coach and mentor your team, including a Senior Financial Advisor and Senior Wealth Management Associate
  • Develop expert knowledge of Vanguard funds, methodology, products, and services to help educate clients
  • Occasional travel for in-person client meetings as needed (typically 1-2 times per month)
  • Adhere to Vanguard policies, regulatory, risk, and compliance requirements

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in relationship management with HNW and UHNW clients.
  • Undergraduate degree, or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • This job requires a regulatory license and/or registration (series 7, 63), or willing to obtain
  • CFP designation is required, or willing to obtain
