About the Role
Eleven Media is looking for an experienced Senior Video Producer to lead our US News & Politics video coverage across long-form and short-form platforms. This is not a clip-compilation or viral video production role. We produce editorial video journalism with reporting, context, analysis, interviews, and original storytelling comparable to leading television news organizations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the video strategy and execution for US politics, national news, global news, elections, and major current affairs.
  • Develop daily and long-term video coverage plans for breaking news, political events, and major news cycles.
  • Oversee the production of long-form and short-form videos, ensuring timely, accurate, and engaging coverage.
  • Develop original video concepts, recurring shows, and scalable content formats.
  • Identify compelling story angles and determine the best video approach for breaking news, analysis, commentary, interviews, explainers, and developing stories.
  • Guide, train, mentor, and develop producers, writers, editors, researchers, and other video team members.
  • Work closely with anchors, hosts, correspondents, and senior producers in the US to plan and execute high-quality programming.
  • Identify, research, and book guests, experts, analysts, public officials, authors, journalists, and other newsmakers for interviews and discussions.
  • Coordinate interview preparation, briefing materials, research, and production logistics.
  • Collaborate with editorial, social media, audience development, design, and production teams to maximize reach and impact.
  • Review scripts, edits, graphics, and final videos to ensure high editorial and production standards.
  • Monitor audience performance, review analytics, and use insights to improve programming and content strategy.
  • Help recruit, interview, onboard, and develop video production talent.
  • Maintain clear communication across teams and ensure video coverage aligns with editorial priorities.
  • Take ownership of the overall quality, consistency, and performance of the video team.
  • Remain flexible during breaking news, elections, major political events, debates, and other high-impact news situations.


What You Will Need
  • Significant professional experience producing news or political video content for a digital, broadcast, or television newsroom.
  • Previous experience managing, mentoring, or leading video production teams.
  • Strong understanding of the US political landscape, government, elections, and current affairs.
  • Experience producing both long-form and short-form news content.
  • Strong editorial judgment and the ability to identify stories and video formats that resonate with audiences.
  • Experience producing breaking news, interviews, explainers, analysis, and commentary.
  • Experience identifying and booking guests, experts, analysts, and other newsmakers.
  • Strong script development, editorial planning, and production management skills.
  • Experience working with on-air talent, anchors, correspondents, or hosts.
  • Strong understanding of audience analytics and how to use data to improve video performance.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to editorial accuracy and production quality.
  • Strong ownership, accountability, and the ability to manage multiple productions under tight deadlines.
