Job Description

Experian is looking for a Senior Vice President, FP&A and Strategic Finance to report to our North America Chief Financial Officer. As a key member of the North American finance executive team, you will lead all aspects of financial planning for Experian’s North America portfolio of businesses with over $5 billion in revenue and more than $1.5B EBIT. This role is critical to driving strategic clarity, sustainable growth, and operational excellence across our North American operations, which represent a significant portion of our global footprint. The ideal candidate will bring strategic acumen, deep financial expertise, and a collaborative leadership style to help scale our global data and technology business in a fast-evolving market. This is a people leadership role with a geographically dispersed team of 10.

The ideal candidate will be based on the West Coast—preferably in California—and while remote work is supported, regular travel to our Costa Mesa office is expected.

Key Responsibilities:

Regional Financial Strategy & Leadership

  • Partner closely with the regional CEO, CFO and finance leaders in the business to drive financial strategy, ensuring alignment with global growth priorities and capital allocation frameworks.
  • Partner with global and regional leaders to evaluate strategic investments, partnerships, and M&A opportunities within the region.
  • Represent North America in global finance forums, contributing insights and recommendations to executive discussions.
  • Partner with our Chief Economist on identifying macroeconomic trends, our Chief Strategy Officer to align financial and strategic plans, and our Investor Relations team on quarterly results announcements.

Strategic Business Partnership

  • Be a trusted advisor to North American business unit leaders, translating financial insights into actionable strategies across product, sales, marketing, and operations.
  • Drive robust competitor comparisons in partnership with business unit leaders.
  • Provide financial modeling and scenario analysis to evaluate business decisions, investments and strategic initiatives.

FP&A Execution & Optimization

  • Own the budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis processes for North America, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and agility.
  • Lead a high-achieving regional FP&A team, promoting a culture of analytical rigor and business partnership.
  • Implement scalable financial systems and tools to support real-time decision-making and scenario planning.
  • Ensure prudent management of regional costs, including all corporate functions and contact center.

Governance, Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with global financial policies, FTSE reporting standards, and regional regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with global Accounting, Tax, and Treasury teams to ensure seamless financial operations and reporting integrity.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, or related financial leadership roles, ideally within a high-growth tech, SaaS, or data platform company.
  • Experience leading finance functions in a publicly traded company, preferably with global operations.
  • Strong command of financial modeling, analytics, and enterprise performance management platforms.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and communicate effectively with executive audiences.
  • Demonstrated success in leading finance teams and driving strategic transformation in complex environments.
  • MBA, CFA, CPA, or equivalent advanced degree preferred.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay range for this position is listed above. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and education. This position is also eligible for a variable pay opportunity and a comprehensive benefits package.
