THE OPPORTUNITY
As a Senior UX Designer you will ideate and execute on the end-to-end design of products and product features. You will work on projects with a high level of agency and in concert with our UX research, product management, engineering, and internal teams.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Partner with UX research and data teams to develop and foster an understanding of the behaviors, needs, and motivations of our users to inform UX decisions.
- Identify opportunities for research to further inform the work of your product area.
- Deliver pixel-perfect user flows at various stages, including at the ideation and research phases, with limited guidance. Iterate quickly given new information like technical constraints, additional requirements or peer feedback.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams through each stage of the design process to define timelines, trade-offs, constraints, etc.
- Be a strategic partner with your partners in product management and engineering to influence the roadmap for a dedicated engineering team.
- Utilize and contribute to our Design System through project work in exploring and delivering solutions for components and styles.
- Follow our organizational design principles and industry best practices keeping the best interests of the user at the forefront.
- Participate in UX team crits by presenting work for team feedback and providing constructive feedback to others.
- May support supplementary projects as assigned, ensuring timely and efficient completion in line with organizational objectives and standards.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 3-5+ years of experience leading end-to-end delivery of products, starting from ideation and discovery to pixel-perfect mocks.
- Experience working with remote, geographically distributed, cross functional teams on complex product features.
- Experience leading discovery, ideation and user research sessions and incorporating those findings into your design process to inform UX decisions.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams on product ideas and pitches, including the iterative design and delivery of MVPs.
- Experience building a 0-1 product
- Experience building in a highly regulated or complex space
- User-first approach to UX design, grounding decisions in research and data.
- Experience working through ambiguity and gathering context in new environments to actively contribute.
- Experience working in a culture of feedback and approach conflict with curiosity.
- Dedication to fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment, and don’t just welcome, but center and amplify, backgrounds and points of view that differ from yours.
- Passionate about progressive causes and politics and want to spend your time making a meaningful impact by doing what you do best.
- Experience with our design and tech stacks and are not afraid to dive in with curiosity to areas beyond your comfort.
WORK & BENEFITS SNAPSHOT
This posting is for a full-time, remote, salaried position. Travel may be required on a limited basis to attend all-staff and departmental retreats (1-2 times per year). Additional travel may be required for select positions.

Work Schedule:
This role requires availability during established, regular business hours (Mon-Fri).
Work Environment:
Employees can expect to work with distributed teams across all U.S. time zones. Our roles require extended technology usage, and proficiency with virtual communication tools such as Zoom and Slack. Regular attendance in virtual meetings is inherent to every position.
Salary Range Details:
Salary Range: $141,906 - $153,026 - $164,145
ActBlue is committed to consistent compensation practices across our organization. Final salary offers will take into account factors such as candidate experience, interview performance and current team salary parity.

The terms and conditions of this position are subject to a collective bargaining agreement with the Communications Workers of America, the exclusive bargaining agent of covered ActBlue Technical Services employees.
