About Veriswap

Veriswap is a barter marketplace for trading cards, operating within the $10B+ sports card secondary market. We're focused on creating a new swap economy because we firmly believe that the swaps market is 5x larger than the cash sales market for collectibles. Our mission is empower collectors by enabling them to trade sports cards anytime, anywhere.

Our founding team comes from Columbia (ex-IB) and from Brown (ex-Google). Together, we’re building something truly exciting, and we’re looking for driven individuals to help us shape the future of collectibles.

Must Haves

  • 5+ years of experience designing B2C or B2b
  • 5+ years of experience building mobile-first experiences
  • Experience working at a fast-paced startup

Nice to haves

  • Experience with prototyping features and products with Cursor, Lovable, or Figma Make (in that order)
  • Past work in game design, marketplaces, social networks, or hobbyist communities

Details

  • $90-120k + benefits + equity
  • Fully remote

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  1. Work directly with Founders to design new features and iterate on live features on web and app
  2. Analyze success of UI after they are launched
  3. Partner closely with engineers to write requirements
  4. Strong eye for visual polish and user delight

To give you a sense of projects, you would be working on on the job, here is an example of projects we have worked on in the past. Some are glamorous, some are not, but we are looking for someone who has no ego and is not scared to get their hands dirty. 

  • Designing the flow (intake, outtake) of our vaulting feature
  • Visual redesign of the website
  • Thinking through how we convey the location of each user’s package as it transits to and from Veriswap

What Success Looks Like

  • First 2 weeks: Thoroughly map out and document all user flows and edge cases in a journey map
  • First month: Help design and ship creatures on mobile / web. Full hand-off from our part-time, contract designer to you.
  • Second month: Create scalable design system
