The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a Software Engineer to design highly performant user interfaces for software solutions in Cary, NC.  If you also have hands-on experience in frontend UX/UI design and agile methodologies, we’d like to meet you.

Responsibilities:

You will participate in new development initiatives, beginning with requirements analysis and design.  During the development phase you will provide design solutions compliant with the customer and mission requirements.  Additionally, the UX/UI designer will provide support to test, integration, and deployment of the software baseline. Candidates must be self-motivated individuals who can understand technical concepts, have good communication skills, and the ability and willingness to collaborate on technical items within the larger team.

•    Work with senior technical and upper management personnel to define software requirements and lead on the design of operational user interfaces.
•    Collaborate and coordinate with users, management and various stakeholders for requirements analysis and design to ensure we bring robust and performant products to market ensuring effective and efficient execution of customer missions.
•    You will provide software design and development expertise in support of application development, use test driven and iterative methodologies, and work with teammates to execute deliveries.
•    You will be part of a responsive team where communication skills and the ability to solve problems are critical to our success.
•    You will bring excellent communication skills critical to successfully presenting ideas to stakeholders, development teams and leadership.
•    You will ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
•    You will bring a proven track record showing adept skill in user research methods and data analysis.

•    Travel may be required with this position to produce, install, train and maintain our global network of systems, support and mentor fellow software engineers by providing advice, coaching and educational opportunities.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • There is no clearance requirement to begin employment.  As a requirement of continued employment, you will be required to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Science, or a related field or equivalent experience and minimum 5+ years of related work experience
  • 3+ years of experience with the following:
    •    Wireframing and UI/UX prototyping
    •    Requirements gathering from software stakeholders
    •    508 Compliance or other accessibility compliance frameworks
  •  2+ years of experience with the following:
    •    HTML5, CSS, SCSS
    •    Experience with design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
     
  •  1+ years of experience with: 

•    Web Technologies such as Angular, Vue, or React

•    JIRA, Confluence, Git

Desired:

  • Experience with component-based design
  • Software Testing (e.g. Junit, Karma/Jasmine, Cypress, etc.)
  • Familiarity developing and executing usability testing procedures
  • Portfoli

Pay Range:

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$86,100 - $181,000
