Job Overview:
This candidate will join LPL’s Client Success organization—a dynamic and team within LPL Financial. As part of the Client Success Enablement team, they will directly contribute to LPL’s mission: We take care of our advisors, so they can take care of their clients.
As a Senior Training Specialist, this candidate will play a crucial role in designing, delivering, and measuring training experiences across the organization. We are seeking a tech-savvy professional with a talent for building trust, listening and driving measurable results.
The ideal candidate will bring:
Deep expertise in instructional design and adult learning theory
Proficiency in creating engaging content across platforms
Experience developing complementary training materials such as job aids and playbooks
Strong collaboration skills to align training solutions with business objectives and KPIs
Responsibilities:
Stakeholder Alignment – Partner with stakeholders to understand and memorialize business objectives, desired key performance indicators (KPIs) and development needs of client-facing managers, apply learning principles to create and deliver learning experiences anchored on the desired business outcomes of our partners.
Develop Training – Design engaging and effective learning experiences and drive execution, including the creation and development of complementary training collateral leveraging technologies such as: Showpad, Clip Champ, Canva, Smartsheet, Microsoft Office Suite
Activate and/or Facilitate Trainings – Deliver engaging learning experiences across live and virtual settings, from 1:1 sessions to larger group trainings. Depending on the format, this may include leading sessions directly, supporting SME-led training as a facilitator, or enabling self-paced learning through thoughtfully designed courses and learning paths that drive knowledge acquisition and confidence.
Assess Outcomes and Effectiveness – Own core training KPIs – completion, competency, and learner satisfaction—while partnering with stakeholders to ensure their business objectives and success metrics are clearly defined, codified, and aligned to learning outcomes. Apply these insights within the team’s continuous improvement framework to design and deliver impactful training that drives measurable results.
Maintain and Report Metrics – Aggregate and report on data related to training such as attendance, knowledge proficiency, satisfaction, etc.
Support Broader Needs of Team – Engage in other efforts to support the team including administrative, operational, special projects, etc. as directed by manager.
Act as an Owner – Execute against the team and vertical’s mandate(s) with an eye to maintaining—and improving—operational excellence, while also maintaining a nimble approach and ability to pivot when appropriate.

Requirements:
3+ years of experience in content design and deployment using Canva, Clip Champ, Showpad
3+ years facilitating live and virtual training sessions across a broad range of audiences
2+ years of experience using Smartsheet for content organization and creating reports to capture metrics
Core Competencies:
Ability to apply adult learning principles, instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, etc.)
Ability to translate business objectives into learning outcomes
Working knowledge of learning experience platforms (LXP) and e-learning platforms
Strong facilitation and presentation skills across group sizes and formats
Proficiency in content creation technologies including Showpad, Smartsheet, Canva and Clip Champ
Ability to visually communicate data through compelling and accurate graphs and charts
Experience with tracking and reporting metrics and KPIs (e.g., completion, satisfaction, competency)
Analytical mindset, able to use data to drive decision-making and measure program effectiveness
A sharp eye for identifying areas of improvement, and developing enhancements
Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
Highly organized, process oriented, self-starter
Preferences:
Bachelor’s degree required, concentration in Education, Instructional Design or related discipline a plus
Instructional Design Professional (IDP)
ATD’s Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP)
Coursera Micromaster’s Program in Instructional Design and Technology
Pay Range:
$70,013-$116,688/yearActual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
