Senior Technical Product Owner - Transformation Lead

The Sr. TPO, Transformation Lead is responsible for overseeing and refining the RGA Product Delivery Operating Model and product taxonomy at RGA. This role drives stakeholder engagement, change management strategies, and ensures alignment across teams to optimize value realization. This individual will lead efforts in developing training programs, facilitating cross-functional alignment, and supporting agile transformation initiatives.
Principle Duties:
Product Operating Model Documentation and Product Taxonomy: Partner with the Agile Center of Excellence team to own the overall Product Op Model design and necessary updates, documentation, and materials, ensuring comprehensive resources for all stakeholders. Refine the operating model and develop further use case designs, while maintaining and managing the product taxonomy.
Change Management and Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and implement strategies to enhance stakeholder engagement and adoption of the operating model. Craft clear and effective communications to inform and involve Business Product Managers, Agile Team Members, Global Technology leaders, and other stakeholders.
Training Strategy and Needs Analysis: Lead strategy and needs analysis for training programs tailored to various roles, coordinating with the learning team on development and delivery. Oversee the approach, timeline, and logistics of self-paced eLearning modules and interactive lab sessions.
Leadership and Cross-Functional Alignment: Facilitate alignment between leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure shared understanding and commitment to the Op Model and strategic goals. Prepare materials and talking points for executive stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
Role Alignment and Communication: Contribute to discussions on role mapping, prioritization, and career development paths. Collaborate with leadership to address challenges related to role clarity and alignment. Support training or communications needs to ensure role clarity or alignment changes.
Agile Transformation Support: Promote an agile mindset and culture by identifying and executing tactics to support empowerment, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Support the integration of change management processes within the agile framework to enhance stakeholder engagement.
Value & Outcome Reporting: Provide insights into delivery metrics and reporting practices, helping teams track progress and improve transparency. Own the execution and analysis of maturity assessments by gathering and analyzing data and communicating findings effectively.
SAI Event Support: Assist in planning and executing Strategic Alignment Increment (SAI) events to drive alignment and collaboration across teams
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) IT or equivalent experience
Work Experience:
10+ years of relevant technology and business experience
15+ years progressive professional experience evaluating, delivering, and/or managing complex development and/or process improvement projects in a global environment.
Subject matter expertise in Change Management, executive communications, stakeholder engagement
Understanding of Product Management & Agile Principles
Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously
Adept at integrating individual and collaborative delivery with Technology executives, leaders, and peers; provides the “heavy lift” where needed to achieve results, while holding self and collaborators accountable to delivering on commitments.
Ability to work well within a team environment, participate in department/team projects and balance detail with departmental objectives. Ability to resolve conflicts and foster teamwork. Ability to quickly adapt to new methods, work under tight deadlines and stressful conditions.
Advanced ability to interpret and translate complex, abstract technical concepts into business relevant language and value propositions.
Excellent oral and written communication.
Advanced level of investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Highly advanced level of people management and engagement skills, demonstrating the ability to lead through influence; including the ability to delegate key areas of responsibility.
Advanced persuasion and negotiating skills when working with senior staff and stakeholders. Effective at managing stakeholders and establishing positive, constructive relationships.
Master at PowerPoint and developing Executive-level presentations and visuals.
Master at Excel – merging, reconciling data; lookups / cross-references; a PivotTable wizard; Charting; formatting and leveraging into Exec-level information presentation.
Experience leading or supporting a global agile transformation
Experience working in a fast-paced technology, financial services or insurance environment
Experience leading change management initiatives and influencing diverse audiences
Expert risk mitigation and issue resolution skills; demonstrated ability to identify challenges and determine solutions
Skills & Abilities:
Facilitation skills with the ability to obtain buy-in from business stakeholders on deliverables.
Global teaming and remote collaboration skills
Ability to challenge the status quo in a facilitative and collaborative way
Competent in Business Domain Analysis, Business Architecture Development and Business Process Modeling
Persuasion skills when working with internal partners and external providers to resolve issues/problems.
Project management skills. Demonstrates ability to evaluate project objectives and scope feasibility, gain understanding, schedule resources, and manage budget to plan; and, managing multiple projects and/or sub-teams simultaneously
Oral and written communication skills including presentation skills, demonstrating the ability to convey information in a way that is meaningful and well received by stakeholders and team members
Ability to adapt new methods, work under tight deadlines and stressful conditions
Ability to make timely and effective decisions and produce results through strategic planning and the implementation and evaluation of programs and Ability to foster a teamwork and customer service focused environment
Ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines

Compensation Range:
$123,500.00 - $184,050.00 AnnualBase pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
