Position Summary

CVS Health is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Senior Technical Product Owner to join our Aetna Mental Wellbeing Product team. In this role, you will drive the strategy, development, and execution of innovative products for our Resources for Living business that enhance and simplify how members connect to our teams to seek services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, leveraging data-driven insights to create solutions that align with our mission to deliver superior and connected experiences, lower the cost of care, and improve the health and well-being of those we serve.

The ideal candidate has proven experience partnering with business stakeholders to translate business needs into technology requirements and delivering results with cross-functional teams in a complex, matrixed environment.  Ideal candidates also have superior communication skills, strong attention to detail and be able to manage multiple priorities and multiple partners at once.

What you will do:

  • Act as the product owner for business solutions understanding product, business, and competitive landscape to successfully enhance the company's competitive advantage in the industry.
  • Coordinate with business teams and other key business partners to create a product vision, understand and help identify business value, understand required capabilities and translate these into product requirements.
  • Partner with business, product, analytics, and operational leaders across portfolios to drive shared prioritization, manage tradeoffs, and ensure aligned execution.
  • Translate business needs and engagement strategies into well‑defined features and user stories, driving delivery within a SAFe Agile framework.
  • Communicate product updates to stakeholders, including executive leadership. Manage expectations and solicit feedback to ensure alignment across the organization
  • Coordinate with technical partners from engineering, data science, user design, and architecture teams in a fast-paced, agile development process to successfully deliver roadmap capabilities.
  • Define, monitor, and use KPIs to assess performance, inform decisions, and continuously improve engagement outcomes.
  • Identify and proactively manage dependencies, integrations, platform constraints, and delivery risks for the product.
  • Guide teams to resolve business, design, and engineering problems quickly and efficiently.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, defining product strategy and managing complex, multi-year roadmaps.
  • 5+ years of experience leading end-to-end feature delivery for complex software products, from technical requirements definition through launch and post-release optimization.
  • 5+ years of experience driving large, cross-functional initiatives across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • 3+ years of experience demonstrating strong communication skills and business acumen, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and bridge technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • 3+ years’ experience leading development for external, consumer-facing products.
  • 3+ years’ experience working in Agile environments, leveraging product management and delivery tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • 3+ years’ experience demonstrating strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, highly matrixed environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with mental health technology.
  • Demonstrated passion for healthcare and a genuine interest in improving access, quality, and outcomes through technology.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (Highschool diploma plus 4 years relevant work experience).

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$106,605.00 - $284,280.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
