What You’ll Do

We are seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst to support our Cloud Platform team by leading discovery efforts, gathering operational requirements, and helping build the delivery pipeline for platform engineering initiatives.


This role will work closely with development teams, Solution Architects, and platform engineers, and other stakeholders/subject matter experts to understand operational needs and translate them into clear, actionable requirements. The analyst will play a key role in shaping the backlog and ensuring the engineering team has well-defined work aligned with platform standards and development team needs.


  • Lead discovery sessions with development teams to understand operational requirements for cloud platform services.
  • Document requirements related to service defaults, configuration settings, operational standards, data governance, and cloud service tagging.
  • Work closely with the Solution Architect to establish and maintain the engineering backlog and delivery pipeline.
  • Translate technical discussions into clear user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria.
  • Facilitate collaboration between development teams and platform engineers to ensure requirements are well understood and prioritized.
  • Create process maps, workflows, and technical diagrams to document system interactions and operational processes.
  • Maintain documentation and requirement artifacts in Confluence and manage backlog items in JIRA.
  • Support backlog grooming, prioritization, and planning activities within the Cloud Platform team.
What We’re Looking For

Required Experience

  • Strong experience as a Business Analyst supporting technical, infrastructure, or cloud-related initiatives.
  • Proven ability to lead technical discovery sessions and requirements gathering with engineering teams.
  • Advanced proficiency with Atlassian tools, including JIRA and Confluence.
  • Experience creating process maps and diagrams using Visio, Lucidchart, or similar tools.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear documentation and structured requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder communication and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to document functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Strong ability to operate as a Product Owner.

Preferred Experience

  • Working knowledge of cloud computing concepts, particularly AWS.
  • Familiarity with cloud platform governance practices, including service configuration standards and tagging strategies.
  • Experience working with platform engineering or infrastructure teams in an Agile environment.
