Location Details: United States - Remote

At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.  

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

GoDaddy is not currently considering candidates for this role in California, Seattle, or NYC.

This is a newly created role that will focus on developing and implementing a comprehensive tax strategy, drive tax planning opportunities, support diligence and structuring for M&A transactions, monitor and advise on changes in tax law, perform research and technical analysis, and provide support to our provision and compliance teams to ensure transactions are accurately reported.

What you'll get to do...

  • You'll work closely with senior tax leadership to develop and implement tax strategies that align with our overall business objectives, minimize tax liabilities, and improve tax efficiencies
  • Provide expert guidance on complex tax issues to senior management and other departments
  • Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations, assessing their impact on the company
  • Assist with diligence and structuring for M&A transactions

Your experience should include...

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • CPA certification
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in the tax field, with a focus on tax planning and strategy
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and international tax laws as well as US GAAP
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions tax planning
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines

You might also have...

  • Master's degree in Taxation
  • Experience in a Big 4 accounting firm
  • Industry-specific tax expertise
  • An advanced degree, such as a JD or LLM in Taxation
  • Knowledge of transfer pricing regulations and practices
  • Proficiency in data analytics and visualization tools
  • Experience presenting to C-level executives and board members
